Hints for Email ServerEmail
A good tutorial for setting up an email server is Howto: ISP-style Email Server by Christoph Haas.
If you need to setup a webmail server (for accessing email through a web browser), please use SquirrelMail. It is by far the best webmail client we have seen. Whatever you do, don't even consider using Outlook Web Access.
What program should I use for email?
This is a startlingly common question. Surprisingly, there is still no really good answer. We have yet to find an email program that doesn't have annoying flaws. If you use a Mac, Apple's Mail is a fairly good program. Some of its missing features will annoy advanced users. On Windows and Linux/BSD/Solaris, Mozilla Thunderbird is a pretty good answer. We recommend avoiding Outlook.
